Berlin – World center for tourism and traveling WTTC has pronounced Montenegro for a country with the fastest growth of tourist business in the world – it was said yesterday on a year conference WTTC at Berlin tourism fair. The success of Montenegro is a certain record because fourth year in a row our country is taking the leading position on the list of WTTC.
In the pole which was done by the Oxford and the Institute for economy for the needs of WTTC, and it included 176 countries of the world, Montenegro is the first ranged, and it was said that in the next 10 years it will take the leading position as far as we are talking about the growth of the tourist business.
In the part of the research under the name “The best of the best” it is stated that Montenegro, China, and India are the countries with the biggest predicted growth of the tourist business in the following decade. These countries in the past four years were tourist destinations with the biggest rate of development.
Namely, WTTC is predicting that the rate of growth of Montenegro per year will be 10, of China 9, 2 and of Croatia 7, 8. That kind of growth of business of Montenegro in WTTC they are interpreting with the grounded strategic planning and precisely defined priorities in capital investments.
Commenting the success of Montenegro the president of WTTC Jean Claude Paumgarten said that that is impressive.
– We have met one of the smallest countries in the world, which in the last 4 years is having the best results in the development of tourism. I think that there are two reasons for that. The first one is that Montenegro started doing something from a lower level, and the second is the fact that Montenegrin Government understood very well that with the development of tourism the entire economy is being developed, and new working places are being made. However, the Government didn’t stop there, but it went a step further to actively create the best tourist product.
We think that Montenegro will be the best even next year – said Paumgarten.
The vise president of WTTC lord Clement Johns said that the report about the success of Montenegro in tourism is exquisite.
– The report indicates that Montenegro has the fastest growing percent of growth compared to any other country, and that is excellent. That is by all means a result of the work, which was undertaken by your Government – said Johns.
WTTC predicts that the costs of the travels all over the world in the year 2007 will be 5, 4trillions of euros or 7 trillions of dollars, and that in 10 years that figure will come up to 9, 9 trillions.
