Podgorica – For the up coming concert of the band “The Rolling Stones” which will be held on July 9th on Budva beach Jaz 20.000 tickets have been sold –said for “Vijesti” Raka Maric, the owner of Belgrade firm “Music Star” which is the organizer of this music spectacle and he added that just in Montenegro about 11.000 tickets have been bought. He mentioned that these calculations were made last Friday and that the number of sold tickets for sure is much bigger now.
– Presale is always bad in these areas. People are waiting for a minute to twelve, collecting the money. Despite that, this time we are very pleased with the interest of the buyers and we think that the figure of 20.000 tickets is very good. I mention that he greatest boom we expect to happen in the period from 1st to 9th of July when specially for concert, according to our estimates, in Budva about 50 to 60.000 tourists will come. We observed the concerts of “The Rolling Stones” around Europe and we got t he information that on the day of the concert up to 40.000 tickets are sold – point out Maric. According to his words they have a great number of bookings: about 30.000 tickets are waiting for their buyers.
He once again mentioned the great interest in the surrounding, town Dubrovnik has reserved 3.000 tickets, Albanians have asked for 10.000 tickets, while just in one selling spot in Belgrade 2.000 tickets have been bought. On the question are there any tourist arrangements, which include the ticket for the concert of The Rolling Stones in the price of the vacation Maric replies that the agencies themselves have made several such offers. For example, in Slovenia from which we also expect a lot of guests there is a seven-day holiday on the sea “with Jagger”.
Recent news in media according to which very few tickets have been sold for the up coming concert on Jaz, Maric notes as rubbish and stresses: “Like in politics, there are always the ones who are pro and against. Some journalists are dealing with the questions who has taken the money, and not with the issue of what this spectacle means for Montenegro. Hey also wrote that the state has paid from the budget the concert of the Stones,, which is false, the concert is being self-financed.
FIRST TRUCKS ARE COMING DURING THE WEEKEND
The works on Jaz are on the course. At the moment the electrical station is being placed, and the construction of the stage will begin on 22nd of June, while for the weekend we are expecting the arrival of the first trucks from the organization of “The Rolling Stones” which at the same time will begin to construct the backstage. Maric points out that the concert in Budva is one of the most crowded in the European part of their current “A Bigger Bang” tour.
The greatest world rock attraction so far,, among other cities, has visited Frankfurt, Paris and Lyon, and before the first concert in Belgium traffic collapse occurred in the length of 50 km. Maric stresses that Budva will not have such problems because the traffic will be much better organized.
