Podgorica – The owner of Podgorica company Monte nova, businessman Aco Djukanovic, bought yesterday on the stock market auction 75% of the stock shares of the Republic Bureau for urbanism and projecting for about 2, 7 millions of euros. That is a so-called nominal price, because Djukanovic’s firm can pay all the stock shares with bond of old foreign currency savings with which the real prize of the transaction would be reduced on about 2 millions of euros.
Even though formally the buyer is still unknown, because the deal will be recorded in Wednesday in the Central deposit agency, the information that Djukanovic is the new owner was yesterday published by the news agency in Montenegro.
The stock shares of the Bureau were paid 1, 64€ per stock, or about 64% more that their nominal worth is. On a yesterday’s auction another firm applied, but it gave up the competition.
Bureau for urbanism and projecting is the oldest planning – projecting institution in Montenegro, but its worth, above all, is seen in the building of about 1.600m2 at the attractive location on the Boulevard of Revolution, across the Sports center Moraca. In that building, among other things, offices of Bureau, as well as offices of Euro info center are located. The building itself is not that interesting, as much as the location on which the building is situated, and on which, as things as standing now, a new housing – business facility will be build.
The land is ideal for such a facility, if the urban plans allow that, especially if it is known that across the way a diplomatic lodgment will be situated. At the moment across the building of Bureau of urbanism American embassy is located. Since recently Djukanovic started seriously to invest in constructing business. His firm, among other things, bought about 5.000m2 of land on the coast of Bar for about 2 millions of euros. Monte nova is the major owner of Niksic bank, and recently they have sold for almost 10 millions of euros their share in Montenegrin commercial bank. Bureau for urbanism and projecting, which since yesterday is in Djukanovic’s hands, was founded in 1946. At the moment they are managing their affairs positively, the salaries are regular, and they have about 30 employees. The company deals with space planning, projecting of constructive and other facilities, engineering and other similar works. They have made a range of important facilities for the Republic, municipalities and firms. In the area of architectonic – constructive projecting the works on tourist – hotel – restaurant facilities stand out among which we have hotels “Crna Gora” (MONTENEGRO), “Podgorica”, “Onogost”, “Plavi horizonti” (BLUE HORIZONS), “Kraljicina plaza” (QUEEN’S BEACH)…
Now remains a doubt whether the new buyer will maintain the activities of the firm. Even though the main motif of the purchase of the Bureau is the construction of the facility on that land, the owner could continue the activities which the bureau performed until now, especially because of the fact that he himself is occupied in construction.
