After 30 years the facilities will be given back to the hands of the owners – pointed out the assistant of the minister of tourism Nebojsa Popovic.
Budva – It is not true that the Singapore company “Aman resorts” has the intention, to build a residential – tourist lodgment for sale, in a 100 years old pine forest, next to the hotel “Queen’s beach” – it was stated in the Ministry of tourism and the Municipality of Budva.
It is being speculated that the buyers of the future 60 luxurious apartments of 120 square meters are already known, and with the sales of those apartments, according to those allegations, “Aman” could earn up to 40 millions of euros, as much as they need to invest in the reconstruction of three Montenegrin hotels, which they have leased for 30 years.
Singapore Company has taken over at the beginning of February the management of elite Montenegrin hotels – “Sveti Stefan”, “Milocer”, and “Krajicina plaza”.
They have the intention of reconstructing and modernizing of hotel “Sveti Stefa” and “Milocer” while they will tear down “Kraljicina plaza” and on the same place they will build a new exclusive hotel. The year’s lease during the reconstruction of the hotel will be 1, 96 millions of euros.
The assistant of the minister of tourism Nebojsa Popovic said for “Vijesti” that the construction of the new hotel on the place of “Kraljicina plaza” will not, in any way, jeopardize the ambience of the surrounding.
“Kraljicina plaza” functionally and spaciously does not fulfill the conditions for reconstruction, nor does it fulfill the conditions for bringing it on the level of “Aman’s” standards, which are highest on the world level in the area of hotel keeping. “Aman” will on the existing location of “Kraljicina plaza” build 40 new rooms and 53 suites, which will be rented in hotel regime. As for the property, we are working on the contact for the lease. So, there is not a possibility of construction of anyone’s private property in that park zone or of the sales of apartments. After 30 years the facilities will be given back to the hands of the owners – pointed out Popovic. Popular “Saint” and “Milocer” have been a part of “Budva Riviera”. “Kraljicina plaza” was a part of HTE “Milocer” whose owner is the state.
– We can not imitate the look of Sveti Stefan, but the architecture will be adjusted to the Mediterranean – said in the interview for “Vijesti” the first man of Aman resorts Adrijan Zeka “Aman resort” owns 18 hotels, mostly in the nature, on attractive places in Indonesia, Bhutan, India, Cambodia, France and other states.
TICIC: THE CONTRACT IS CLEAR
Pointing out that the contract about the lease of elite hotels is clear; town manager Aleksandar Ticic stated that no one from the “Aman” has addressed to the municipality with a demand to allow them to build an elite suite residential lodgment for sales in the park.
– I am proud that “Aman” is in Montenegro, especially in our Budva. We want to attract as many of those world brands in tourism – said Ticic.
