If it is to judge according to a number of tourist employees, the metropolis of tourism this year will come close to magical figure of half a million of guests, which would list it in the leading tourist destinations in the Mediterranean.
According to the official record 371.766 guests visited Budva during the year 2006, which is 17% more than it was the case last year.
On Budva Riviera last summer there were 197.000 domestic guests, and 175.000 foreign guests. From the total number of overnight stays, 2, 3 millions, half of that number was made by foreign guests.
Riviera, which for years presents the greatest tramp of tourist offer of Montenegro, and a trademark of every propaganda campaign of Montenegro on all world TV station, has put an effort that as a host presents in its town this year’s offer in a best possible way. Tourist organization of Budva on its stand, with a richly prepared propaganda material, and well thought audiovisual presentation has bring closer to a domestic guest all those qualities which this Riviera has.
Director of Tourist organization of Budva, Tanja Kazenegra said that hat TO for the second time is presenting itself at Tourism fair in Budva.
– On the stand, which is especially designed for this market, beside the promotional material, with which we have presented the entire offer of Budva, both in our and English language, special accent we have put on the presentation of the catalogue of private accommodation. The catalogue, which we have published and promoted on this market, is made of two parts; from the illustrated part with which 44 owners of private accommodation, and from the second part on which we have presented all those who are registered in the Municipal Secretary for business and finances – said Kazanegra.
She announced that TO Budva would present itself on upcoming markets in the surrounding and abroad.
– What we are now facing is the onset on markets in Berlin and Moscow on the stand with NTO, and after that a fair in Ljubljana where together with local tourist organizations of Bar and Tivat we will present our offers.
We have also predicted the promotion in Bari on Levantine fair, which we will carry out in cooperation with the Adriatic fair. After that comes Belgrade, then Banjaluka, and I am hoping that we will have also a promotion in Macedonia – said Kazanegra, and added that judging by the contracts which agencies made, she is expecting a significantly better season that the previous one. She said that they will have a redesign of a brochure Info Budva, which will be printed in several languages.
– An entirely new concept in visual and in content sense, of course with up-to- date data and the entire offer of Budva. Novelty will be a brochure “Top ten” where we will state 10 reasons why one should come to Budva, which will be illustrated very well. Soon we will publish also “Hotel discoveries” and present the hotel offer of Budva Riviera. What will be a novelty is that every month a free of charge flyer with all manifestation and happenings in the town will be distributed in hotels and tourist bureaus of our TO, and in that way we will adequately inform all our tourists where during the day they can spend their time. We are making also propaganda posters with five different motifs of Budva. The first brochure that we will be making for some tourist place will refer to Petrovac – announced Kazanegra.
