Podgorica high school seniors yesterday at noon were a part of Europe, by dancing a simultaneous dance on the Republic Square with their peers from nine states and 59 European towns. In that way for the first time they took part in in the International “Quadrille dance festival”, which at the same time begun in European towns, and which was broadcasted by satellite. Together with more than 300 pupils, yesterday in breaking of the record from Guinness’ book 160 pupils from Niksic also took part in.
– I am sure that you have studied well, and I am congratulating you on your exam in maturity – said the deputy of the Mayor Dragan Mijajlovic, when opening the yesterday’s manifestation and stressed that all over Europe 40.000 people danced yesterday.
On the Republic Square you could hear the song, and you could see the dance of high school pupils who have just finished their high school, who were wearing red and white shirts.
– This is a nice and entertaining manifestation – said the senior of Economic school Sanja Sujovic, who together with her friends danced on the square.
Her friends Ivana Klisic and Sana Herovic have been preparing this choreography for three school classes with their teachers of physical education.
– Everything went well – said the sport director of the Dance association of Montenegro Milos Rabernovic, who helped to high school students in their dance choreography and who at the same time was the main organizer of the project.
