Podgorica – That the attractive and still intact location on Montenegrin shore are on the target of foreign investors best confirms the fact that the Hungarian company Trigranit has already made and idea project for Velika plaza in Ulcinj.
Trigranit, as it stands in the project, would invest several billions of euros in construction of tourist facilities near Ulcinj.
Velika plaza has the surface of 1.950 ha (19,5 millions of square meters) of which about 1.400 is in the ownership of the state, while the rest belongs to private owners.
According to the project of Trigranit, which contains both high and low construction, depending on what the Montenegrin authorities will put as a condition in the open competition, they have predicted the construction of hotel – tourist lodgment with the contents which only the most modern centers in the world have (hotels, suites, restaurants, bars, pools, aqua park, golf, tennis and football terrains, theater, casino, green areas, various kinds of wellness centers..)
Hungarian company whose owners are Sandor Canji, Peter Munk, Nathaniel Rothschild, and Sandor Demijan has predicted also the construction of a hotel Twin Towers on Velika plaza.
They also have an idea of digging a new estuary of Bojana which would go through the new lodgment and which would go into the sea.
Still, Trigranit in order to carry out their plans will have to take part and to win in the open competition for Velika plaza which will be announced in the next few months.
The main condition of the tender will be the partnership with the state, the investor would provide the project and the money and the state would give in the land, and they would manage and share the ownership jointly.
Trigranit however, is not the only interested party for Velika plaza. Arabian investors, whose representatives recently stayed in Podgorica told to their hosts that they are ready for great investments in this complex near Ulcinj.
The influential circles in Montenegro prefer the Arabians, the member of the royal family in Emirates, at this moment.
Velika plaza, around which the investors will definitely compete is located between the town Ulcinj and the island Ada Bojana. It is 13 kilometers long.
Velika plaza, because of its size, and the nearby hinterland, which still hasn’t been exploited, except for some private houses, can be though as the most important potential for development of tourism in Montenegro.
