Podgorica – Montenegro, according to prognosis of the World counsel for tourism and traveling, will generate from tourism and connective economic branches 508, 2 millions of euros.
In WTTC they are expecting that that amount until the 2017, based on the total demand, will reach 1, 8 billions of euros. The total demand will increase, according to estimates, for 15, 2% in this year, and its real year growth in the period from the next year to the year 2017 will be 10, 7%.
From WTTC they said that even though a significant growth of the total demand is expected its share compared to the world market this year is “0,0 %”.
The participation of tourism and connected branches in the gross domestic product of Montenegro this year will be 10, 2 % or 189, 4 millions of euros, and until 2017 it will nominally grow to 605, 4 millions of euros, or to 16, 4% GDP
In WTTC they are estimating that in the tourist sector in this year there will be 27.000 workers engaged, or 17, 7% from the total number of employees.
– Until 2017 this sector could engage totally 43.000 workers or 26, 3% from the total number of employed people in Montenegro – it was said in the report of the World Tourism and Traveling counsel.
On WTTC rating list of the countries with the long term fastest growing tourist business Montenegro this year too has taken the first position, with the prognosticated year rate of growth of 10, 1% in the following decade.
Montenegro, together with China and India, is on the top of the list which is made of 174 countries for already four years, thanks to the sustainable development of the tourist industry, focused strategy of development and targeted investments.
