Podgorica – National internet domain “.me” will be able to register and after that use all domestic and foreign juristic and physical persons, Montenegrin organs of authority, and diplomatic representations which are accredited in Montenegro.
They will all have the right of registering of unlimited number of domains, it is predicted by the Suggestion of the rulebook about the registration which was adopted and published this week by the National counsel for application and control of the work of the Internet domain.
Domain can be registered from one to five years. The users of the domain will pay the compensation for the registration and the expenses of maintenance of the name of the domain at the price list, which will be adopted by the National counsel.
All the users of existing internet addresses registered under the “.yu” domain from Montenegro will be able to use them for 6 months after the activation of a new “.me”. In that period they should submit a request to the Center of information system of the University of Montenegro (CIS) for registration of a new one, and after that period they will be erased.
There are four kinds of domains, of which one, the so-called generically redefined, will be used by the organs of the republic, city, and municipal authorities – “.gov.me”. “.Net.me” will be will be used for registration of the name of the domain of legal providers of Internet serWeiszs, and .org.me” will be used by organizations and associations of citizens, cultural institutions, museums, theaters, and other non – profit jusirtic persons,
For the registration of the domain of juristic persons the “.co.me” will be used and of physical persons “.priv.me”. The members of the University and academies will use “.ac.me”, and “.edu.me” is predicted for the registration of the domain of the institutions which are dealing with education.
Premium domains, which are registered directly under the national “.me” will be register exclusively through the agents of registrations, who will be assigned by the National counsel.
