Budva – Individual onset of Tourist organization of Budva on a yesterday ended tourist market in Prague “Holiday world” confirmed that the metropolis of Montenegrin tourism is still the most favorite place for rest in that Mid European country, and that beside the hotels Czech guests more and more choose private accommodation for staying on our coast.
Tourist organization of Budva for the first time individually presented itself on some of the European tourism fairs, and on the stand of about 40 square meters in the central part of the main fair hall, beside the capital of the Montenegrin tourism the offer of entire Montenegro was presented.
On the stand of the TO of Budva, on which the national tourist organization was a guest, tourist organization of Bar. HTE “Budva Rivier”, “Onogost”, “Montenegrostar”, and “Korali” as well as tourist agencies “Monteja – globtour”, “Montenegro charter” and JAMB presented themselves.
On a big presentation of Montenegro, which was organized by the National tourist organization they have shown the promotional movie about Budva and Montenegro for the Czech market in production of the agency “AMC Communications”. After that they have organized a solemn cocktail for ore than 50 media representatives and agencies from that country.
Unanimous mark of the tourism employees is that Budva and Montenegro have successfully resented themselves in Prague, and it is interesting that both Budva agencies “Monteja globtour” and JAMB have sold all engagements, which they had for that market.
By mentioning that the Czech tourist last year have had about 15% of the total tourist foreign turnover, director of the National tourist organization Sasa Radovic said that he is expecting that this year in Montenegro 35.000 tourist from that market will come, which is almost 16% more than last year.
– Czechs are our traditionally loyal guests in which by all means certain role plays the friendly relation of these two countries and culturally – historical and Slav connection. At the moment there is a great interest of Czech guests for private accommodation, especially in Budva, and they are the guests of most exclusive hotels – said Radovic.
He said that he is pleased with the presentation of the TO Budva on this year’s market, and he pointed out that NTO in the future will encourage local TO to have more and more these kinds of presentations.
Reminding that Czech tourists were the first visitors of Budva Riviera in the 1930’s – in those years of the last century, the vice president of the Municipality Lazar Radjenovic mentioned that Budva has well prepared itself for the upcoming tourist season.
– Beside the guests from Czech republic who from year to year come in bigger numbers, additional obligation of the town of Budva to organize its presentation in Prague is the friendship of Czech and Montenegrin people. Budva is a brother town with Prague and Czech town Valaski Mezereici, Budva has something to offer and to present on the Czech market this year, and we as local administration have tried to promote the infrastructure in order for the guests to fell more comfortable.
The deputy of minister of tourism Nebojsa Popovic said that the Czech investors slightly have took part in, in the privatization of Montenegri, so he invited them to incest.
Director of the Tourist organization of Budva, Tanja Kazanegra said that Prague stock market has grown from the regional fair into a prestigious fair manifestation in Central Europe, and that on the stand of Budva neighboring municipalities presented themselves.
16th international tourist market in Prague gathered more than 700 exhibitors from 50 countries, and more than 30.000 people visited the fair. The fair from year to year has more and more exhibitors, and the Czechs, who are considered to be great travelers, right at this time make their decisions in which destination will they spend their vacation. This year the offer of Montenegro was in the competition with the numerous summer resorts such as Dubai, Thailand, Maldives, India, and Sri Lanka.
IN PRAGUE 7 MILLIONS OF GUESTS PER YEAR
Czech capital, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful European towns, represents the leading tourist big power on the old continent. If it is to judge by the turnover, only town of Prague earns from tourism more than entire Croatian coast, which in the past years was considered to be a top destination. According to official data,, Prague per year is visited by more than 7 millions of guests, who leave more than 5 billions of euros. The entire town because of that is in function of tourist, so every guests has various offers and tourist possibilities to meet Prague, and almost on every step there are info stand points equipped with propaganda material.
Czechs immediately after the Russians
In the structure of the foreign tourist Czech guests are most numerous after the Russians. Namely, according to official data, Montenegro last year was visited by 28.634 Czech tourists who had 222.100 overnight stays which is 7% more than in the summer of 2005. What is most important is that the Czech guests represent those tourists who stay for the longest time in Montenegro with the average length of staying of 7, 76 days. Last year on Budva Riviera there were 9.300 Czech guests, who had 55.000 overnight stays.
