Bijela – “Prince Abdulaziz”, the yacht of the Saudi royal family, which on the 13th of February came in Boka, yesterday sailed out from the Adriatic shipbuilding yard in Bijela, where it was repaired.
– On “Prince Abdulaziz” they made some small repairs – said the director if the marketing petar Tusup. He is hoping that the repair of “Prince Abdulaziz” is the bearer of the strategic plan of the shipbuilding yard. Which predicts also repairing of mega yachts.
The yacht “Prince Abdulaziz” was build in 1983 in Denmark, according to a project of the German company “Meirform”, and it was designed by the firm “David Hicks International”. The construction lasted for 15 months and its costs were 184 millions of dollars.
The yacht is 147 meters long. Two engines of 15.600 horsepower move it, and it makes the speed of 22 knots.
It has pools, hospital, cinema, a mosque, and a garage for accommodation of several cars, platform for helicopters, as well as a very sophisticated security system.
The sailing palace most often cruises on the Mediterranean, from Spain to Malta.
