According to a saga the monastery Gornje Brcele dates from the period of Balsici, though it is known that bishop Danilo Petrovic as his winter residence founded the present temple at the beginning of XVIII century. This monastery is also called the monastery of Petrovici. The monastery is located in Crmnica in the same named village, and it is easiest to reach it by coming from the highway Podgorica – Petrovac. On that highway you will see a road sign, which will show you where you should turn. The road will be very interesting for you because you will go through a marvelous area, which is best known by the best domestic wine.
