Bar – Judging by eye but on the basis of official details of state authorities, summer of 2006 is the most successful season in history of Montenegrin nautical tourism. At sight of bathers first of all at Bar Riviera at cays of AD Marina and marina Sveti Nikola in Port of Bar, especially in late afternoon hours at each ten minutes each day sails in at least one sailing boat or yacht. Apart boats of length from 7 to 20 meters nothing new is arrival and anchoring in front of Bar mega-yachts such as “Ilona”, “Skat” or “Dilbar” of wich not one is “cheaper” than 60 million dollars.
In the Department of sea safety (UPS) estimate that this summer is the best season of Montenegrin nautical tourism, “and not only since there is marina at Bar”. Director of UPS Krsto Rakocevic for “Ljeto” stressed that in respect to 2005 for hundred percent is increased number of berthing of our ports and marinas by nautical tourists “All over the world” what as he states, create larger obligations of state authorities in charge for safety and security in our territorial waters.
-While in all last year we had visit of 400 boats under foreign flags, in 2600 since July 1, there were 380 and we expect that this number only on the basis of data for July be increased for at least 200 boats. System of maritime lights and information through coastal radio station Bar function without mistake. Large interest show for our Informators for nautical tourists and nautical charts that we printed – stresses captain Rakocevic.
Director of ups state that opening of port of Budva for international traffic greatly relieved Bar and Zelenika for accepting of yachts and sailing boats or for making customs and port formalities during arrival and departure of nautical tourists.
-Port of Budva is at remarkable level, surprisingly high for the first season of new regime of operation it can be seen that company that took over that job is extremely serious and servicing of demanding nautical tourists. Number of informators, nautical charts and flags for boats that passed until today from us is one of facts that give quality service that Montenegrin metropolis of tourism deserves. It would be good that such people take over all our marinas – state Rakocevic.
He adds that port master at Bar and Kotor make precise list of passengers on this boats so that at the end of year will be known exact number of tourist aboard these boats arrived to Montenegro. Captain Rakocevic states that lowest price that for being in our waters pays foreign nautical tourist is around 50 EUR for boat of seven meters while for yacht of 30 meters is around 300 EUR. These amounts for permit for cruising at Montenegrin littoral for a year, stresses Rakocevic, are lowest in countries in surrounding.
Problems because of forms
-International maritime organization (IMO) stated set of seven forms that boats must submit in ports they enter. Ups late took this material to Ministry of maritime but it was not all for nothing of that is yet published. It is not only out of accordance with request of IMO but also makes difficulties at receipt of boats of ever numerous nautical tourists – concluded Rakocevic.
