Vienna – Austrian company Soravia has decided to break up the contract with Budva Riviera about the lease of Slovenska plaza and the construction of luxurious hotel inside that complex – found out “Vijesti” from the sources close to the company.
– The contract will be broken up because of the unsolved issue of ownership over the land on which Slovenska plaza is located at. Those property relations have not been entirely solved as it was promised and Soravia group because of that could not get the bank guarantees – said the source close to the Austrian company.
He points out that from Budva Rivera they have promised that that problem will be solved, but in the last four months, when the contract was signed, they haven’t done anything.
– The land is under the restitution, so in that circumstances nothing can be constructed or invested – said the source of “Vijesti”.
He claims that in Budva Riviera they do not negate the existence of the problem, but they point out that that problem is solvable and that it should not be decisive for the break up of the contract.
Soravia group onn the 10th January this year has signed in Vienna with Budva Riviera a contract about the lease of Slovenska plaza for 21 year, and Soravia- Budva was supposed to build Hilton hotel.
According to what “Vijesti” found out, Soravia has certain problems also with its projects in Skoplje, and recently their efforts to buy the former building of the Allied MIF in the center of Belgrade, where they have planned to build a hotel, failed. However it was not confirmed that the company has difficulties in work. it is familiar that they enter in some projects only if there is not a single disputable detail. As recently director if group Hano Soravia said, their interests for investment in Montenegro were directed on airports in Tivat and in Podgorica, as well as on Ada Bojana,
