Kotor – On a day before yesterday held auction in Belgrade which was announced by a Belgrade agency for insurance of a deposit for business space of 50.000 square meters in Kotor’s Old town 700.000 euros or 14.000 euros per square meter were offered. That at the same time is the biggest achieved price of a real estate in the ancient town.
Business space is located on an exclusive location on the main city Square of arms. “Vijesti” found out that there were 18 bidders from Kotor, Podgorica, and Belgrade as well as a bank from Greece at the auction. Except several private owners from Kotor firms Ela and Hipotekarna bank took part in.
Some bidders from Kotor with whom “Vijest” made contacts with yesterday were not in the mood for talk, so it was impossible to get an official confirmation who offered the record 700.000 euros for that space. One of Kotor private owners who did not wish his name to be mentioned said that the term for payment of money is 15 days, and that would be unfair to speculate about the name of the potential buyer. He points out that, even though that price was offered, that doesn’t mean that it will be sold for that amount of money, and that it can happen that the price falls.
The member of the commission Momcilo Markovic, who was contacted by “Vijesti” last night, said that he doesn’t have the authority to give information, and he directed us to the president of the commission Radovan Milosevic. We weren’t able to contact Milosevic last night.
