Budva – Judging according announcements for September and October that are extremely good the largest hotel company “Budvanska rivijera” is in front of one of the most successful seasons, like those from late 80’s, golden age of Montenegrin tourism.
Investments in preparation season of more than two million EUR, invested in renovating of hotels, showed as full achievement that is the most seen in massive return of foreign guests to Budva Riviera.
Stressing that until end of August there are no free rooms in hotels of “Budvanska rivijera”, executive director Dusko Lalicevic announced even more successful post season.
-Currently all 4500 beds of our company are full. There are no free beds and we even have to make way to accommodate guests. Already long ago we stopped sale for all capacities are full and regretfully we can not accept individual guests that are numerous at the moment in Budva. Every day large number of domestic as well as foreign guests, among who is the largest number of Italians who decided to spend vacation at Budva comes to reception desks of our hotels seeking for room but we can not meet their requests for all is full – said Lalicevic for “Ljeto”.

-For instance, hotel “Sveti Stefan” is booked out for September, almost all capacities are booked and there are no free beds. Such trend is also in other hotels and we can freely say that post season will be good. For time being we overcame all aims projected in business plan, from number of nights, financial income up to height of cost.
Business plan was made far ambitious and even looked to many unrealistic and as such we succeeded to overcome it. Plan assumed that “Slovenska plaza” during July makes 69500 nights and it was achieved seven thousand more that is a record – said Lalicevic.
He said that he expected that plan judging by current booking will be overcome for August also in the largest tourist settlement will be made 10% more nights.
-It is similar with hotel “Aleksandar”. We planed during July 15500 nights and it was realized 21000 a third more and such result will be also in August – said Lalicevic.
According his words successful operation is result of the new business policy that is taking place during last three years.
-It is all about that it is less important price of board but it is much important how much are costs. Working so we came to that in respect to last year costs are lower, that were anyway very low and having in mind that this year we raised prices of arrangements, financial effects are much better – said Lalicevic.
He added that are made arrangements with foreign tour operators for the next season.
-There is already large interest to renew contracts and we made several contracts on booking of our capacities for next year. Having in mind that Montenegro is well positioned, we made corrections to prices but not so much to fall in trap as our neighbors that with unreal and high prices lost lot of guests – stressed Lalicevic.
Return of foreigners
This year season in the hotel company will be marked by massive return of foreign guests, before all from west European and Scandinavian market.
According words of Lalicevic structure of guests is in favor of foreign so that of total number of guests 85% are foreigners.
-As different of last year when foreign guests made 45%, this year they will be double more. The fact that “Budvanska rivijera” positioned well on foreign market testifies detail that two years ago in our hotels there were only 30% foreign guests – said Lalicevic.
