Cetinje – In the goal of promotion of tourist product of National park Lovcen yesterday on Ivanova korita a tourist center was formally opened.
Five completely new wooden houses for visitors have been constructed as well as exhibit area for school in nature. They have also equipped the Center for visitors, marked the hiking paths and bicycle tracks as well as sightseeing places.
It would take you 40 euros per on daily basis to rent a house according t o the information from the NP of Lovcen.
The project, along with the financial aid of USAID and IRD was carried out by Public enterprise for national parks of Montenegro. Director of NP of Montenegro Rade Gregovic said that with that project Lovcen has finally received the basic contents and infrastructure recognizable for national parks “which will make it even more interesting and more attractive for the visitors”.
American people, through USAID has provided for the project 155.000 dollars, NP gave more than 58.000 dollars while the Ministry of tourism took part in with 3.300 dollars.
Chief of the mission of IRD in Montenegro Predrag Jankovic said that creation of new tourist products is a condition for development of tourism as one of the dominant business branches where National Parks should be “treated like basic resources and gems of Montenegrin tourist offer”.
Minister of tourism Predrag Nenezic said that the Government and the ministry in charge are giving more attention to development of national parks because that segment is very important for the image of Montenegro as an ecological state.
