Kolasin – In cooperation and with the help of the Embassy of the USA in Podgorica, Montenegro business alliance has organized a series of workshops on the theme “National parks and the protection of rivers in Montenegro – comparative experiences”.
The guests and the lecturers at the workshop that was held yesterday in Kolasin were Len Materman, the president of the Organization River Communities, and Paul Labovic, the counselor in the Service of the National Parks of USA.
At the workshop they have presented the experiences from the USA, which are connected to the regulation of the National parks, their protection, economic efficacy, as well as about the protection of the rivers. Paul Labovic work on the program which concerns the protection and maintenance of rivers. His job is to help the people to make new parks and to preserve the existing rivers and parks in accordance with the economic development.
– My role is to give the ideas and advices to people in Montenegro, in which way they can preserve parks, nature and the general cultural inheritance, as well as how they can influence on the development of tourism not just on the coast but also in the inland – said Len Materman.
Except in Kolasin the workshops are supposed to be held on Cetinje, Zabljak, in Mojkovac, and in Plevlja.
