– Podgorica – The round table on the topic “The possibilities for the development of the sustainable tourism in the area of Sasko Lake” will be held at the end of the month – it was said on the yesterday’s press conference of the NGO “Green Home”, which was held yesterday in Podgorica.
The coordinator of the project, and at the same time the president of the “Green Home”, Darko Pajkovic, said that the project “Sustainable development – Sasko Lake”, in whose scope an international assembly will be held, showed that that area represents “the area of the preserved and rich bio – diversity and a valuable cultural inheritance”.
– The main goal of the project is urging the socio – economic development of Sasko Lake and the promotion of the sustainable tourism. That area has all the predispositions for the economic prosperity through the development of the sustainable tourism – said Pajkovic.
The greatest obstacles in that plan are, he added, the non existent law protections, plans and development strategies, but also a “great migration of people to other countries”.
The author of the study “Bio – diversity of the Sasko Lake” MA Danilo Mrdak said that that lake with its surrounding represents a “local center of the bio – diversity of the Mediterranean land zone here”
The author of the socio – economic study, Dzelal Hodzic said that the Lake is surrounded with the villages and that that area is characteristic by a “homogenous national structure – 97, 61% is Albanian citizenship”.
The project started in January, and the partners of the “Green Home” are NGO “Art Studio Ulcinj”, “Hidroecologica” from Podgorica and local administration of the most southern town.
