Secretary of Ministry of Tourism of Montenegro Zeljka Radak and director of Employment bureau of Herceg Novi Stevo Lazarevic held today press for achieved results in realization of project “Neka bude cisto” (Let it be clean).
Campaign “Let it be clean” is organized fourth year in row. Last year this activity was first time realized in shape of public work as pilot project in which realization were participated 19 partners, 13 municipalities.
The activity had positive estimation as by tourists as by locals of Montenegro because of important visual effect and its help improving image of Montenegro as ecological state and tourist destination.
Having in mind positive effects of campaign, Government of Montenegro, council for tourism and coordinating body for preparation and estimation of tourist season concluded that it is necessary to continue project “Let it be clean” in 2006 and realize during all year.
Project had over 50 partners. It is important to stress that in project participate all municipalities and Communal services in Montenegro. Excellent cooperation and partnership was realized at local and republic level. Beside municipalities, Ministry of Tourism and bureaus for Employment participated considerable number of partners at Republic level. Maritime and transport Ministry, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, JP “Morsko dobro” as international organizations EAR, IRD.
Over 170 workers were engaged in removing rubbish, cleaning and keeping of region along highway and regional roads of 1000 km of length and planting spaces along highway in littoral municipalities. All workers realize all employment rights and value of project is around 460000 EUR.
From March project is realized at littoral and from April in other municipalities.

Posted 80 concrete rubbish bins (plan 210)
Posted 30 boards
Engaged 42 mowers and 29 saws
Constant broadcasting of TV clips, broad castings, reportages
Handed 5000 leaflets “Neka bude cisto”
