Budva – The first Russian library in Montenegro, a gift from Duma, of Russian Federation, was formally opened yesterday in the Secondary mixed high school “Danilo Kis” in Budva.
The library will operate as a part of the Center for teaching of Russian language, history, and culture “Vozdrozdenije”, which was recently opened in that Budva high school.
By opening the library, the first deputy of the president of the State Duma of Russian Federation, Sliska Ljubov Konstatinovna, reminded the present ones on the century historical and cultural connections of Montenegro and Russia.
– I hope that the Center will not solely serve for teaching and studying Russian language, but I hope that there will be also included Russian history and religion, in which there are many similarities among our two people. This is just a small, first step, and I hope that there will be many more, because the interest of great philanthropists to continue donations exists – emphasized Konstatinovna.
She added that the Mayor Rajko Kuljaca is signed as a first member of the Center for Russian language in Budva. She is, she adds, signed in as a first member of the Center for Serbian language in Moscow.
Kuljaca expressed his hope that the Russian Duma and Russian businessman, who in the past two or three years have been dedicating a great attention to Budva, will continue to do that.
– That should be done in the name of good cooperation, which lasts for centuries among Montenegrin and brotherly nation of Russian people – stated Kuljaca.
