Podgorica – Ministry of tourism will sign an annex of the contract with the company Moscow trust group based on which the Russian will have the extended deadline for the opening of the hotel “4 July” in Petrovac.
The Russians will, as it was said yesterday for “Vijesti” from the Ministry of tourism, deliver the banking guarantees that they will obey the deadline. The annex of the contract will include the break up clause in case that “4 July” is not opened until the summer.
Moscow trust group has bought Petrovac’s hotel three years ago for 2, 6 millions of euros, with the obligation of investment of 3, 6 millions of euros. The deadline for the termination of the investments was extended for the Russians several times, in order for them to receive in October, at the initiative of the Counsel for the privatization, the last warning about the possibility of the break up of the contract.
As it was said in the Ministry of tourism “soon after that the Russians delivered us the payments as a proof that they have surpassed the investments, 3 4 millions of euros, that were foreseen by the contract, with the explanation that they had certain problems which caused the delay of the opening of the hotel”.
Russians said that the investments in the hotel will surpass the amount of 10 millions of euros. In the Ministry of tourism they say that with the annex of the contract they will protect themselves from the possible problems with the Moscow trust group, but they believe that the hotel will be opened until the 1st of May.
The signing of the annex should be previously approved by the Consel for privatization. The hotel “4 July” for years has not been working, excluding the restaurant which mainly received solely Russian guests.
