These are the reason for declaring it a National Park: 264 species of birds, 48 species of fish, 30 submarine springs called “oka”(eyes), numerous islands, fish colonies and a complex of Monasteries – so, if you want to enjoy the day … don’t miss this excursion!
During this excursion, along to exceptionally jagged lake shore, enriched with many bays and peninsulas, you’ll encounter and walk through the two small towns on the lake that were once connected by regular ferry, but today with a special boat line for you – Rijeka Crnojevica, once a capital of Montenegrin medieval state and Virpazar, island-city. Besides the special boat tour, everything else is left to your wishes and tastes: swimming in the fresh lake water, picking chestnuts and water lilies, tasting homemade lake specialities … or just dreaming and idling.
