Tivat – Presidents of Tivat’s local communities Krasici and Krtolj Antun Petrovic and Zoran Barbic, and president of Herceg Novi local community Lustica Nedeljko Moric spoke to mayors of Tivat, Dragan Kankaras, and Herceg Novi, Dejan Mandic, asking for more attention to be dedicated to the citizens of the peninsula Lustica on whose territory these lodgments are located.
As they point out those three local communities had the same problems so they started to cooperate in order to solve those problems more effectively.
The biggest problems for local people as well as for many tourists are bad local infrastructure, from Adriatic highway to the crossroad for Krasici.
Presidents of three LC have also warned on bad shape and non-transparency and lack of light on the main cross road of the local road and the Adriatic highway nearby the gas station “Vuk Petrol” as well as on appearance of numerous garbage piles along the traffic line towards Zabrdje, and from the turning point for Oblatno towards Mardari.
– We think that the penalty policy towards the unscrupulous transporters, who throw out their garbage should be intensified, as well as that the communal control in the afternoon and late evening hours – told Moric, Petrovic, and Barbic asking from the Mayors Mandic and Kankaras to have the communal clean those wild garbage dumps until the beginning of the main tourist season.
By putting en effort for the second working shift in the local ambulance to be made and the constructing works to be stopped, especially the digging of PPT channel in Krtoli, members of LC from Lustica asked for the number of containers for garbage in that area to be increased, the problems of parking to be solved as well as the usage of beaches which have not been leased, and that a part of the cultural entertaining events which during the summer are taking place in Tivat and Herceg Novi to be organized on Lustica.
THEY PROTEST BECAUSE OF THE TRANSPORT OF THE SAND
With a note that the electrical network on the peninsula is in a very bad shape, Petrovic, Barbic, and Moric draw the attention also on the problem which for the local people presents the transport of the sand from the stone-pit Oblatno.
Heavy trucks, which drive that material, very often with heavy cargo overburden of their vehicles damage the local road and bestrew the lodgments with sand and dust, because of which people from Lustica suggest to the Mayors that local administrations should implement a special tax for maintenance of the local road, which would be charged per one cube of transported material.
