Tivat – Military station 2939 from Podgorica, yesterday in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of defense, has announced a repeated notice of sale of three ships of Montenegrin Navy.
We are talking about the oil tanker PN – 26 “Sipa” (EUROPEAN CUTTLEFISH), about water carrier PV – 17 “Alga” (ALGAE) and the invasion rafting – dredge PDS 705.
PN – 26 “Sipa” is one of the youngest ships in the fleet of Navy of Montenegro. It was built in 1989 in Kraljevica, and its full displacement is about 1.600 tones. That ship has not been in operative use for a longer time, some parts for maintaining of other aid vessels of Navy of Montenegro have been taken off from it, and it is being offered at a price of 100.000 euros.
Even though it is 37 years older than “Sipa” twice as bigger price is asked for the PV – 17 “Alga”, the tanker for transport of drinking water which was built in Rijeka, in 1952. This ship which has the displacement of 725 tones, which is 44 meters long, and which has the speed of 9, 5 knots is moved by the engine which has 930 horse powers. In the last few years it has been used during the summer droughts for water supply of lodgments on Lustica, and in Donji Grbalj, above all the houses and weekend houses in Bigovo.
Compared to the first auction which was held in December when there were no offers for this ship, the starting price for the the invasion rafting – dredge PDS 705 is decreased from 205.000 to 180.000 thousand of euros.
PDS 705 is 26 meters long, its displacement is 159 tones, and it was built in Pula in 1954. It was reconstructed into a sailing dredge for digging of the sea bottom in 1975 in the Arsenal. This vessel which is especially suitable for the construction works along the shore and on the beaches has two engines of total power of 600 horses with which it achieves the speed of 9, 5 knots.
Ministry of defense is selling these vessels on an auction on which according to the system of closed enveloped all domestic and foreign juristic and physical persons can participate, and the offers will be received until the 9th of February.
