Podgorica – Singapore company Aman resorts in the following 30 years will be managing the elite Montenegrin hotels – Sveti Stefan, Milocer, and Kraljicina plaza.
The contracts about the lease in 30 years, yesterday was signed by the Minister of tourism and protection of environment, Predrag Nenezic, directors of Budva Riviera and Milocer, as the owners of the hotels, Vule Tomasevic and Dragan Mirkovic, the president of the Management Board of Aman resorts Adrian Zeka, and the director of the firm Aidway investment Greg Siro, through which the Singapore company applied at the open competition.
Aman, as it was said, ahs already paid in the first rate for the lease of 670.000€.
Minister Nenezic said that the year’s lease in the period of the reconstruction of the hotels, in which at least 40 millions of euros will be invested, will be 1, 96 millions of euros.
– In the first year the lease of the three facilities will be 2, 1 millions of euros. After several years of business the amount of the compensation for the lease will be bigger, because it is predicted with the contract that they should pay in 10% from the total income, if that amount is bigger than 2, 1 millions of euros, that is, if it is bigger than that amount enlarged for the inflation rate – explained Nenezic.
According to his words “it is a very favorable deal for both parties”.
– Taking into consideration the conservative variant of this method, the gross of the present value of the Montenegrin party will be about 107 millions of euros, and of Aman 111 millions of euros for the next 30 years – said Nenezic.
Aman has obliged itself with the contract to take over all 220 workers from three hotels which next year will start to function under the brand Aman. Singapore Company has the intention to reconstruct and modernize Sveti Stefan and Milocer, and they are planning to ruin and build a new exclusive hotel on the location of Kraljicina plaza. Zeka announced that they will bring back to Sveti Stefan the former glow and leading position in the Mediterranean.
Sveti Stefan is equally beautiful as it used to be, but it needs everyday care, which Aman will give to it, which will bring the quality of services up to the highest level. In that segment Aman has a great reputation and we see that the success in that business is guaranteed – said Zeka.
Popular Saint and Milocer were a part of the hotel tourist enterprise Budva Riviera, while Kraljicina plaza was a part of HTE Milocer whose owner is the state of Montenegro.
After the end of the lease, the facilities will be given back to the owners.
After the signing of the contract and the protocol meetings held in Villa Gorica, the heads of Aman resorts Zeka and Siro together with the minister Nenezic had an opportunity to sightsee and visit with a helicopter national parks, canyon of Tara, Zabljak, and all other attractive locations.
Aman resorts else, owns 18 hotels mostly in the nature on attractive places in Indonesia, Bhutan, India, Cambodia, France and other states. From Aman they are announcing that soon they will open another 5 tourist complexes.
