Representatives of PI “Museums and Galleries of Podgorica”, and the European Agency for Reconstruction have signed yesterday a contract about the implementation and financing of the project “New antique Duklja”.
– The project is new only by its name, but in content and meaning it is very old. We hope that all creative and expert potential of Montenegro will be found in one place – said director of PI “Museums and Galleries of Podgorica” Daliborka Pejovic.
Minister of culture and media Predrag Sekulic said that with the contract they have predicted the protection of the central part with placement of the fence and putting the light.
– They have also planned to arrange walking paths for visitors, to place information panel, and to train guides – said the manager of the project Dragan Radovic adding that the construction of the stage will make Duklja a very attractive and interesting tourist destination.
Director of EAR for Montenegro Rainer Froind pointed out that this is the first of 12 contracts which will be signed and which cost totally 500.000 euros. Special representative of the European Commission in Montenegro Martin Harvey believes that the project will contribute to strengthening of good neighboring relations but also good tourist economy.
– Realization of the project is a debt to all generations who lived in these areas – said Mayor Miomir Mugosa.
The project New antique Duklja is a part of the international project “42nd parallel” which for a goal has tourist valorization and presentation of cultural and natural potentials of the region of the participants in the project.
