Budva – With the promotion in Kragiujevac Montenegrin national tourist organization has started a great campaign around Serbia. As it was previously announced, this year they are expecting the arrival of more than half a million of guests from Serbia – for Montenegro still the most important market.
According to the words of the assistant director of NTO Maja Lijesevic, as part of specially made campaign for Serbian market, NTO Montenegro in cooperation with the local tourist organizations of Budva and Bar has started in Tuesday June 12th a road show in 9 major Serbian towns.
– Presentations were held in kragujevac, Krusevac, Cacak and Valjevo, and the promotions will be organized in Nis, Vrs, Sombor, Subotica, and Novi Sad. Those are one-day presentations of tourist offer of Montenegro, which are primarily intended for tourist workers, agencies, tour operators, transporters, then to local administration of the town, and local media. The presentations which were held have provoked great interest and have gathered numerous representatives of tourist business, local administration and media – said Lijesevic.
Manager of NTO Danica Ceranic said that the presentation in Kragujevac was held in cooperation with TO Kragujevac in hotel “Kragujevac” in the presence of more than 60 invitees, representatives of tourist business, local administration and media.
– What is especially important for tourist business is the great interest and the presence of more than 20 tourist agencies from Kragujevac among which are: “Prestige”, “Kragujtours”, “Arion”, “Mistral”, “Kontiki”, “Travel”… Current tourist offer of their towns have been presented by Ilija Stojovic and Dragana Vukojevic, representatives of tourist organizations of Bar and Budva. With the presentation in Krusevac, the road show has been continued, where in the restaurant “Konak” (Sleeping quarters) in the presence of the representatives of tourist business, local administration, and dozens of media the offer of Montenegro was promoted. Promotion was continued in Cacak in the restaurant “Takovo” which has more than 70 invitees – said Ceranic.
VISITS OF JOURNALISTS AND TOUR OPERATORS
During the previous week Montenegro received a group of 7 Austrian tour operators in cooperation with Austrian – Montenegrin partnership, whose visit was focused on hiking tours and cycling.
As it was said from NTO tour operators were extremely satisfied with the potentials o Montenegro and they are all planning to include Montenegro in their programs for next year. Two journalists of National Geographic Adventure Magazine also stayed in Montenegro, and during the next week a group of Scandinavian tour operators will also be staying in Montenegro.
