Zabljak – Camp vehicle with kayaks and bicycles on the roof instead of skis, yesterday in the middle of winter had to attract the attention of everyone on Zabljak. However, they were not here because of the rafting on Tara.
– When we collect the money in the summer, we will go on the rafting down the Tara – say Angel Tray and Vitefen Laurence from Amsterdam. Angel is a forensic in Netherlands police, and Vitefen is employed in a furniture shop “Ikea”. They say that they have decided to go on out of season tourist travel intentionally so that they can avoid crowds and in peace see and experience what they have planned.
– We left Amsterdam on the 25th of October last year. We went through Germany and Austria, and we stopped in Slovenia. In that country we stayed for three weeks. We were in Postojna, we paddled kayaks down the Soca, rode our bicycles and visited almost all places. We then went to Croatia, where we stayed for 8 weeks. We visited all national parks, went on Plitvice, and rode our kayaks down Krka. We visited all the towns on the coast, from Pula to Dubrovnik, went on several islands on their coast. In Croatia we welcomed the New Year – they say turning the leaves of their diary so that they don’t miss a thing.
The entered Montenegro on the 10th of January and they are planning to stay here for a week more.
– After Debeli brijeg we visited Herceg Novi. A special place in our diaries and our hearts took Kotor with its Old town and all cultural monuments. On our list are also other places in Boka, Budva and all the places towards Ada Bojana. On our way over Sutorman our vehicle broke, so we had to the tow it to Podgorica where it was fixed. The road led us further to Cetinje, where we have visited all the culturally – historical monuments, went on Lovcen, but we didn’t go on the mausoleum because of the snow. The road took us through Cevo to Niksic and then in Savnik where we visited Komarnica and the canyon Nevidio. The night before last night we played lottery with the local people in Savnik hotel, and somewhere just before the midnight we came to Zabljak and spend the night on a parking lot in the center – say the Dutch, praising the hospitable and sincere people from Savnik and Zabljak, mentioning that through Montenegro, in difference to Croatia, during their sleeping in the vehicles they didn’t have any inconveniences.
They added that during their travel they didn’t come across the snow so that they could ski.
– We were glad because here there is snow and we are heading immediately on the ski path. We will walk towards the Crno jezero (BLACK LAKE) – they say and on the map they are showing that they will be traveling through the canyon of Tara to Biogradsko jezero (BIOGRADSKO LAKE) and further on to Kolasin.
According to the plan, after Montenegro they are traveling to Albania and then to Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania, and from there, at the end of March they are heading home, with which they are ending an interesting five month travel.
