Tivat – The representatives of the Montenegrin Government and the company PM securities from Barbados have signed a contract yesterday about the selling of the property of Tivat’s navy – technical maintenance sector “Sava Kovacevic”.
The signing of the contract was done with one hour delay, because of, according to unofficial information, two articles which were imprecisely translated into an English version of the contract, which was corrected before the signing took place. “Vijesti” have found out that the reason for the delay was also a change of one article in the contract which is concerned with the collaboration of the Government and PM, so the formulation “exclusive partner” is replaced with “strategic partner”.
PM will pay 3, 26 millions of euros for the property of Arsenal and Military Home, and they intend to build a luxurious marina for mega yachts. For the social program, ecological interventions, and reparation they will set aside 29 millions of euros, and PM made a commitment that in the next 4 years they will invest at least 106 millions of euros.
Djukanovic said that he is very happy because of the signing of the contract.
– Today Montenegro got a great investor and I am sure that with his repute he will represent a stimulus for all other great investors from Europe, America, Canada and from other meridians – said Djukanovic.
He added that, if the goal of Montenegro is to be a renowned tourist destination and an ecological state “it couldn’t enter in the realization of a better engagement that this one”.
Djukanovic emphasized the quality social program and extremely high incomes which municipality Tivat will achieve, and he repeated that the investments are more important than the price.
Mank said that Djukanovic and the mayor of Tivat Dragan Kankaras have opened a new page into the future for Boka and Montenegro. The shipbuilding is, he added, history, and it will be replaced by the tourism here.
Mank pointed out that for the success of the project the support of the local administration and communal work are of greatest importance.
– You have the best Harbor and a best protected bay on the Adriatic, absolutely spectacular landscape, stabile, credible, and democratic Government, but all of that will not bring the yachts here without investments which will provide and construct the most attractive ambience – said Mank, who, as 5 months earlier in Podgorica, recommended people in Montenegro to smile more.
Mank and the mayor of Kotor Marija Catovic have signed yesterday a contract in Kotor about the collaboration of PM and the municipality and Kotor Harbor, about the realization and planning of the project of the development of the nautical tourism in Kotor bay.
– We have insisted that the Parliament has to give the concordance about this agreement, so it is non obligatory until the Parliament verifies it officially – said Catovic for “Vijesti”, pointing out that we are talking about a very important partner not just for Kotor, but for entire Montenegro.
Catovic confirmed that recently municipality has become the major owner of the stock company Kotor Harbor with 55, 8 % of the stock capital.
She added that the construction of the Nautical center, and attached contents is planned as well as the building of the new representative building of the Harbor.
