Virpazar – The president and the vise president of the association of vine growers and viticulturists of Crmnica are Petar Lekovic and Ivo Uksanovic – it was decided on a yearly assembly of this Association with 60 members, held last weekend in the hotel “13 July.
In the supervisor committee of the Association Radovan Ljutica, Radivoje raicevic and Dragan Kojic were elected, and in the Administrative board there were chosen PhD Svetozar Savic, Ivica Pejanovic, Branislav Plamenac, Ivica Bokovac, Miodrag Nikolic, Zarko Kopitovic and Tomislav Stojanovic to whom one of the priorities is the project “vine roads”
_Vine roads are a project of the preparation of vine cellars in houses in Crmnica, which would then be visited by tourists. The householder who is interested in the project should have his own cellar which fulfils the criteria of the Ministry of agriculture. The ambience style of the cellar should be typical for Crminca. The hygiene and the total offer on a high level, and household keepers who fulfill the conditions will enter in the vine roads map – said PhD Savic, pointing out that this project of the Association is being carried out with the help pf the organization GTZ.
On the parliament there were representative of the Ministry of agriculture PhD Marija Krstic and the representative of GTZ Andrijana Djonovic. They along with the republic service in November will organize for Montenegrin vine growers and viticulturists 2 tours of vine roads in Croatia. GTZ has alos bought a computer for the office of the Association whose opening during the fall is expected to happen in Virpazar, and GTZ has also financed the creation of the logo for the vine roads.
On the parliament it was said that for 6 years the members of the Association have planted 15 ha of new vineyards, and also the good cooperation with the Ministry of agriculture, Bureau technical institute, and AD (Stock Association) “Plantaze” has been pointed out. The Ministry of agriculture in this century has given about 70.000 grafts of grape vine, while another 10.000 grafts were bought by the vine growers from 23 Crminca villages at very favorable prices.
