Bijelo Polje – Te round table “Tourism in the function of the development of the production of food” was held yesterday in hotel “Bijela rada”. The goal of that gathering which was organized by the Business chamber, is to suggest the solutions how to position better domestic agricultural products on Montenegrin tourist market. It was said that that should be another contribution to the tracing of the food from our fields, farms, and agro industrial sections to the tourist table, which will contribute to the strengthening of the producer, and improving of the tourist offer, and pleasing the guest.
– Domestic producers in relation with the final buyers – spenders, should especially take care about the level of competition and solving of the problem of discontinuity in supply all over the year, and especially in tourism where the season has been significantly extended. That is why it would be necessary to work on the making of a quality plans of production, buy up, and engaging of the work force – that is one of the conclusions of the gathering.
Special accent has been put on creation of the “clusters” which in a significant measure would contribute to the solving of the problem of discontinuity in supplying of the spenders, widening of the assortment, and by that to a much better competitiveness of domestic producers.
The president of the Business chamber Vladimir Vukmirovic noted that our market of agricultural products is characterized by a disharmony of the offer and the demand.
President of LP of Bijelo Polje Refik Bojadzic pointed out that area through a long-term strategy of development has recognized the biggest chance in tourism and production of healthy ecologic food. The strategy of development, as he said, is based on available resources and through quality programs and projects which are being carried out in the company “Mesopromet”. He sees the perspective also in the section of buying up of fruits and vegetables and refinement which is being carried out by “Eko – Meduza, and for the north region great significance represents the buy up and refinement of milk.
