Bar – On a suitable ceremony on Bar Faculty for tourism and hotelier keeping and trade yesterday a Training center for training of stuff in tourism has been opened.
Computer gear for the center was provided by USAID and IRD who have invested 43.000 dollars, while Montenegrin tourist association, and hotels “Queen of Montenegro”, and “Maestral”, as well as ar Faculty, have provided 29.500 dollars.
The project has been carried out as a part of the program “Revitalization of the communities through democratic actions of CRDA” which IRD is carrying out at the coast.
There isn’t a better thing, which in the last period has happened to our tourism than this conjunction of knowledge and practice. In every other work you can replace a men ut not in tourism – no, because there is no tourism without well trained stuff – said the president of MTA Branko Kazanegra.
Director of USAID for Montenegro and Serbia Keith Simmons mentioned that that is one of 54 tourist projects which IRD has started as a part of the CRDA project on the coast.
Vice dean of Bar Faculty PhD Sanja Vlahovic said that the first group pf tourist guides has already passed training in the center, and that until the end of the month, in the second phase another 40 persons will be trained.
THREE MILLIONS FROM THE AMERICANS
Director of the IRD’s team for local economic development Predrag Jankovic reminded that from the begging of the CRDA program, that is from May 2005 on the coast they have carried out 92 projects whose total value is 6 millions of dollars.
Of that American people, through USAID, have provided 3 millions.
