Podgorica – The works on the traffic lines in Montenegro will be mostly terminated until June 15th in order for tourists to be enabled to travel freely and to decrease the traffic jams, it was said yesterday after a week session of the Coordination body for preparation and monitoring of the tourist season.
Minister of internal affairs and public administration Jusuf Kalamperovic announced that until June 15th the traffic line from Bijelo Polje to Ulcinj will be passable, the boulevard in Budva will be opened, and the reconstruction of the tunnel as well as the asphalting of the road on main traffic lines will be terminated.
If something is not done until then it will have to be stopped – warned Kalamperovic, adding that some works, which have just begun, cannot be finished until then like for example the road Meljine – Petijevici towards Trebinje.
He said that even there during some part of the day the vehicles would be allowed to pass.
According to the words of Kalamperovic, Ministry of internal affairs and the Management of the police will do everything to enlarge the transit capacity on the crossing borders with selective controls of vehicles and passengers.
– Traffic control will be very efficient and they will try to follow through the discipline on roads, without any unnecessary stops and controls – announced Kalamperovic.
Special obligations of police, as he added, are in public peace and order and about 150 police officers will be sent on the coast “to show Montenegro not as a police, but as a safe country”.
Minister of tourism Predrag Nenezic said that until the beginning of the main season they have carried out 80% of the planned projects, but that during the season they expect that some problems will appear for whose solving an operative body will be in charge.
It will be formed on a following session of the Government and it will have sessions several times a week, and if necessary even more.
– Operative body will monitor all activities related to tourist season and it will react in proper time on appearance of any kind of problem – concluded Nenezic.
KALAMPEROVIC: THERE WILL BE NO RAMPAGE OF SCOOTERS OR MOTOR BOATS
Minister of internal affairs Jusuf Kalamperovic claims that they will do everything to disable the rampages on the sea with scooters and motor boats and that they will do everything to prevent harassing of swimmers with taxi boats.
Minister of tourism Predrag Nenezic said that everyone has to be aware of the fact that Montenegro is a tourist state.
– Seasons last longer and longer until the moment when they will last for entire year, when we will no longer call it a season but a tourist year. In that situation when the periods between two tourist season are being shorter what has been done is enough, so we expect a solid visit – claims Nenezic.
