Tivat – More than 4.000 thrilled people in the picture which used to be made of old Yugoslavian three colored flag with a star, red flags of the League of Communists, pioneer hats and scarves, Tito’s pictures and shirts with inscriptions of SFRJ, awaited yesterday, on the Shore of Marshal Tito in Tivat, the youth relay which was the culmination of the yesterday’s celebration of 25th of May – in former Yugoslavia better known as the Youth day.
The celebration for already fourth year in a row was thrown by NGO “General consulate of SFRJ” from Tivat.
The relay started its way towards Tivat from working and revolutionary Niksic where from the place where the National hero Ljubo Cupic died the youngster Vlado Scepanovic took it.
Carried by the hand of the owner of the café “Che Guevara” the relay went through Danilovgrad, and rebellious Lazine, Titograd, down the Sloboda street, and came to the heroic town – Cetinje, where youth brought in the hall where the congress of independent Unions of Montenegro was being held.
The delegates received the relay with enthusiasm and greeted with applause its carriers, who then, continued their way towards Tivat, through Budva. In the meantime, on Tivat Riva Pine a lot of citizens gathered, as well as numerous delegations from all former Yugoslav republics, and the most joyous group was a group of about 20 Slovenian pioneers.
About 20h, “directly from the Hill near Kranj”, came the lifetime president of SFRJ, Jospi Broz Tito, who for this occasion was embodied by the Belgrade actor Andrija Kovac, better known as Hrvoje from the serial “Kursadzije” on TV Pink.
Comrad Tito, dressed in festive white uniform of the admiral of the fleet of Yugoslavian WA, came on Riva in the old black Mercedes TG plates, with which Blazo Jovanovic used to drive with, and on the red carpet he was given a report by the oldest active officer of YWA – 87 years old major Ivan Vulanovic. Two armed ships of Partizan navy from Podgora provided the security from the sea.
– My life was not an easy one, but I lived it with joy. I am especially glad that this relay and this greetings are coming from Niksic because that is the town of “metalaca” (people working in a firm called “Metalac”), and that reminds me on the days when I was an apprentice in Sisak, and later on the days when I was a master in Zagreb. This is magnificent and I thank to the youth, who came here to congratulate me my birthday. Our youth has nothing to be afraid of, it can only look forward to its youth – said comrade Tito when on the deck of his ship “Galeb”, which for this occasion “played” the traveling ship “Le coche d’eau”, he receive the relay.
