Budva – Expecting the arrival of an organised group of Austrain pensioners, companies Montenegro Star Hotels Group, HTP Budvanska Rijvjera and HIT Montenegro organised a course of German language for receptionists and waiters.
The participants are full-time employees in hotels Splendid, Montenegro, Maestral and Aleksandar. The owner of Exlusive Tours, Vukasin Culafic said that there were 31 participants in the course which lasted for 20 days.
One of the weakest points in tourist offer of Montenegro is the lack of foreign languages knowledge. At the same time, new modern hotels with four or five stars are being opened, which leaves tourist Montenegro in a paradoxical situation. It is beyond immagination that the hotel service of that level communicates with foreign guests by “shrugging shoulders” or mimicry – said Culafic at the end of the course. The participants had four classes a day during those 19 work days, he added.
– This is the 5th course which our agency has organised during the past few years. We never had as many participants. I would like to praise the company Montenegro Stars which made an effort to send a maximal number of its staff there. The terminology they learned is adjusted to their needs and the needs of tourism and catering. They learned the basis of conduct with a German tourist, who is different from guests from other European countries – Culafic said.
