Podgorica – There are more than 85.000 tourists staying in Montenegro, 68 % more compared to the same period last year – said yesterday manager of the NTO Danica Ceranic.
According to the data, which NTO has processed in cooperation with the local tourist organizations, there are 87.963 tourists in Montenegro. Of that number 38.894 tourists are accommodated in Budva, which is 61% more than at the same period last year.
– There are many tourists staying in Montenegro, so we ask tourist employees not to get relaxed because we need to successfully extend the season which is our strategic goal – said Cernaic.
Director of Tourist organization of Budva Tanja Kazenegra said that the hotels in this municipality are almost 100% full, that the camps and rest homes note increases of 50% while in private accommodation there are more than 20.000 guests.
Main season is still going on even though we are entering the post season – pointed out Kazenegra, adding that Municipality is organizing a whole day event Petrovac night for the 31st of August aiming to extend the season.
Petrovac night will be a music fiesta and will have a program, which will start at 10 a.m. and will last all day long.
– We have provided 500 kg of fish and about 1.500 liters of wine and beer for that day. We have planed the onset of young Montenegrin musicians, and then we will have a concert of Crvena jabuka – said Kazenegra.
Director of TO Danilovgrad Borislav Kalezic has announced the event Down the River Zeta which will have two parts – sport-competitive part and entertaining part.
In the sport-competitive part we will have fishermen. a race of wooden barges and a kayak regatta, and we will also organize jump dives. in the entertaining part we will prepare the fish soup for people to taste, we will give rewards and we will also have clapper music groups singing – said Kalezic.
Ceranic in front of NTO said that the service of telephones for complaints and praises 9817 in the organization of Montenegro tourist center has noted 189 calls in the last 7 days.
Of totally 189 calls, 166 were complaints for too loud music, dumps, and waste material, lack of water and charging of entrance on the beach as well as usage of beach accessories while the praises, 23 of them, were related to well arranged swimming resorts, comfortable accommodation and rich cultural and entertaining program – said Ceranic.
