Bar – National park Skadar Lake in cooperation with USAID and IRD has built a center for visitors on River Crnojevic and a similar one was opened in Murici too yesterday.
– With the project Promotion of tourist product NP Skadar Lake they have predicted the construction of two centers for visitors – one in Murici and one on River Crnojevic, as well as concept of three paths and printing of info promotional material said the assistant of the director of National Parks of Montenegro Dragan Dragicevic.
USAID and IRD have donated for that project about 60.000 euros while the National parks have given about 54.000 euros.
The main goal of the project, said Dragicevic, is valorization and presentation of natural and cultural historical values of the NP Skadar Lake.
Center for visitors in Donji Murici he added has “exhibit items with three separate theme entities dedicated to folk handiwork, olive growing, and development of Krajina”.
Centers for visitors on River Crnojevic and in Murici will significantly contribute to promotion of Skadar Lake and it will stir the development of those places too – pointed out the representative of the Ministry of tourism Tijana Djurcevic.
Chief of the mission of IRD for Montenegro Predrag Jankovic said that that is one of 92 projects which in the past two years in cooperation with USAID they have carried out in order to encourage the economic development of the south of Montenegro.
The aim of the project, added Jankovic, is connection of the coast with the hinterland and unison of the tourist offer in order to create “a new tourist product”.
