Podgorica – If plans made for Montenegro tourism come through for next several years, in Montenegro will one live better then now. It is sure to come to increase of life standard as number of tourists rise, night beds, hotel capacities when started investments in hotels and similar.
In favor of this are data from previous five years that show that Montenegro tourism increase much higher than it can be seen with bear eye. According data of Ministry of Tourism last five years average annual growth of visitors to Montenegro is 14.8% and number of nights 20.56%. In 2005 there were 820000 visits or 5.2 million of nights what is 15% more than 2004.
Definitely at around 250 kilometers long coast with 117 sand and pebble beaches of 73 kilometers of length there are much potential.
Capacity of registered accommodation units in Montenegro is at the moment around 35000 of that 40.3% with two stars, 29.8% with three stars, 11.5% with four stars, 0.96% with five stars. Average age of hotels is 22 years and net price of room 25 EUR. This data only express that potential for growth in all parts of tourism are many, especially if you have in mind privatization of considerable number of complex is not yet finished and in course are renovation and modernization. We are at mid way.
As result of privatization in next two to five years whole obligatory investments in hotels will be at minimum of 88.6 million EUR of which on average 31400 per room. Hotel managers will have to surpass that amount if they wish top level with which at this moment one can not bribe large number of hotels in Montenegro.

Apart existing Maestral, Bianca and other there should start with renovating or be finished Splendid, Avala, hotels of HTP Korali, HTP Primorje. The top of privatization will surely be leasing of Sveti Stefan and Ada Bojana.
According data from World Alliance for tourism and traveling for 2006 tourism in Montenegro will generate 15.7% of Gross National Product or 266.7 million EUR and that is not a bad figure if we are half way.

Master plan assumes rising of hotels capacity 50000 in next four year or to 100000 in 2020.

It is expected that in branch of tourism and traveling in Montenegro will grow at annual rate of around 10% in period to 2016 and in that manner Montenegro tourism has first place in the world as long term growth is concerned.
