Montenegrin Climate

Montenegro has two climates. The coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate with 240 sunny days yearly. Summers are hot and dry, temperatures range 30-35°C. Winters are mild and wet. Podgorica is one of Europe’s hottest cities in summer, sometimes above 40°C. In addition, above 1,200m in summer, fresh mountain air cools temperatures to around 25°C.
