Cetinje

Cetinje – Old Royal Capital city, is located in a valley surrounded by the beautiful slopes of the National Park Lovcen.

This is a marvelous city, a pure treasure of history, culture and tradition of Montenegro. When you visit Cetinje, you will have the feeling as if time had stopped. You will be surrounded by numerous old buildings, which were once important mission of all countries.

Two buildings are certainly the most representative: Cetinje Monastery (built in 1701) and Biljarda.

In Cetinje there are numerous museums and Art Academy. Nearness to the National Park Lovcen, provides an amazing opportunity for an unforgettable visit to the highest mausoleum in the world. On hot summer days, National Park Lovcen offers a very pleasant atmosphere. Several attractive small hotels will offer you a comfortable accommodation with traditional Montenegrin cuisine.

Also, another must visit place is Rijeka Crnojevica, located near Cetinje, within the National Park Skadar Lake.
