Black Lake

Black Lake in Durmitor National Park is one of the premium Montenegro tourist attractions. Indeed, Black Lake is the best known and largest of 18 glacial lakes in the park. More than 3 km long, the walking path around the lake is most popular for hiking and recreation.

Located at the foot of Medjed peak, this lake consists of two smaller lakes: Big and Little Lake. Consequently, these two lakes are connected by a narrow strait that dries in summer, creating two completely separate lakes.
