Happy Independence Day
21 May – is well know as MONTENEGRO INDEPENDENCE DAY
People in Montenegro celebrate this public holiday, with many nice events. 21. In May 2006, Montenegro has regained its independence and thus again become a sovereign and independent state. This is a great day for all those who have long been waiting to Montenegro again become a state, which was only logical after the breakup of the former Yugoslavia.
Today, nine years after independence, despite all the problems, Montenegro is a modern, stable country, a good neighbour and reliable partner. In years to come, Montenegro and its people, will certainly show all its virtues and commitment to European values.
Although small in surface, Montenegro is a big country, with a rich tradition, history and culture.
Long live Montenegro!
