Nobu restaurant officially opened in Montenegro

23 June 2016, Budva – Nobu, famous brand Japanese restaurant has been officially opened in Milocer Park on a location known as the Queen’s Chair.

Hereby, Montenegro has officially hosted the first branded restaurant, and not any one, but definitely one of the best. Tourism offer of Montenegro, especially when it comes to elite tourism, has become significantly enriched and Montenegrin citizens and tourists will be finally able to indulge in the dishes so far enjoyed by gourmets in famous world centres.

Nobu cuisine is recognised for its specific blend of traditional Japanese cuisine enriched with innovations, and characteristics of culinary specialties typical for the place the restaurant is located at. Therefore, certain dishes containing Montenegrin cuisine characteristics can be found in restaurant Nobu Montenegro.  

Ingredients not available on Montenegrin market have arrived even from Dubai, Japan, France, all with the aim to satisfy standards and quality which Nobu cuisine is distinguished by. Guests will indulge themselves in Nobu’s signature specialties such as Yellowtail Jalapeno, Black Cod Miso, New-Style Sashimi and world-class sushi, as well as special Nobu Sake made exclusively for Nobu restaurants. Head management of Nobu restaurant consists of people with great previous experience, who arrived from all over the world.  

The dishes in the restaurant will be prepared by Frank Gorriceta, Executive Chef who gained his experience working in many Nobu restaurants all over the world, such as New York, Las Vegas, Manila, and also had the opportunity to be employed in the first ever Nobu restaurant.

Sushi Chef Shinichiro Kondo is the head sushi chef off all Nobu restaurants.

General Manager Stevan Lam with 10 years of experience in Nobu restaurants (New York, Las Vega, Malibu) will make sure that everything works perfectly well so that you wish to come back again.

The restaurant is opened on one of the most stunning viewpoints in Montenegro. It sits on the top of a rocky cliff emerging from the sea, surrounded by cypress and maritime pine forest, as well as various Mediterranean vegetation dominated by laurel tree, rosemary and lavender whose fragrances fill the air. Therefore, besides enjoying famed cuisine of an eminent Nobu Chef, the guests will also enjoy magnificent view and sunsets. The restaurant’s terrace offers a breathtaking view of the Old Town Budva, the island of Sveti Nikola and the peninsula of Sveti Stefan. The location is known as the Queen’s Chair, named after the chair which was placed on the Queen Maria Karadjordjevic’s favourite place for pleasure and relaxation during her stay at a nearby royal summer residence.

The restaurant has been opened in a partnership with the company Adriatic Properties, which presented Montenegro to the representatives of Nobu brand and provided extraordinary support in preparations for the opening.  Hereby, Adriatic Properties has confirmed the continuing trend of cooperation with the best, so far established in its long-term cooperation with the brand Aman.
